Mrs. Katrina O Donnell, Principal

I am thrilled to be joining the team at West Caldwell High School this year! Before coming to West Caldwell, I taught at Happy Valley School and Hudson Elementary. Prior to teaching, I worked in finance, including at Palm Beach State College where my passion for education began. I completed my bachelor’s in Elementary Education and master’s in School Administration from Appalachian State University. My mission is to create supportive and inclusive educational environments where teachers and students can thrive. Outside of the schoolhouse, I enjoy spending time outdoors and traveling with my family and friends.

Elijah Reece, Assistant Principal

Elijah Reece is proud to serve as an Assistant Principal at West Caldwell High School. This is his ninth year in education, and his career has included teaching middle school mathematics and science, as well as coaching multiple sports. These experiences have shaped his belief that relationships, consistency, and a positive school culture are at the heart of helping students and staff thrive.

Mr. Reece earned his Bachelor’s degree in Middle School Education from Western Carolina University and his Master’s degree in School Administration from Gardner-Webb University.

One of the beliefs that guides Mr. Reece each day is the importance of setting the temperature in every situation he encounters. Whether celebrating a success, working through a challenge, or simply connecting with a student or staff member, he strives to lead with positivity, calmness, and purpose. He believes that leadership is not simply about responding to what happens, but about creating an environment where people feel supported, valued, and capable of doing their best.

Mr. Reece also believes strongly in the idea that a rising tide lifts all boats. When students, teachers, families, and school leaders work together and encourage one another, the entire school community has the opportunity to rise. His goal is to help create that kind of culture at West Caldwell High School—one where people believe in one another, celebrate one another's successes, and work together to make the school better for everyone.

Outside of school, Mr. Reece is married to a fellow educator, and together they have a son, Judah. He enjoys spending time with his family and is grateful for the opportunity to serve the students, staff, and families of West Caldwell High School
